I just purchased two of these robes for Halloween, so that my girlfriend and I could dress as Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.
The reviews on Amazon were all so glowing that I assumed the product would be great: I was wrong.
The first problem with the robe is that the inner lining is not red, it's lavender, or a very, very faded red. Which is wholly unlike all of the pictures.
The second problem is that the robe is really not "one size fits all." If you are over 5'10", forget about it. It will look ridiculous on you. Especially the sleeves.
Find your robes elsewhere, as these are garbage.
Finally one for us big kids --
I'm really pleased with the adult version of the Hogwarts/Gryffindor robe. It's made of a pretty nice material, seems rather durable, hangs nicely when worn, and looks good on. :) I'm a happy Hogwarts student now! (btw, the Hogwarts student hat will fit most adults, I just got that too and love it)
A 7th Year Gryffindor
This costume consists of just a robe with the Gryffindor emblem on it, but it's actually a nice one. It's made of a fairly good quality material, not that cheap satin-looking stuff, so it should last through several Halloween parties. Pair it with Zonko's Joke Wand, and you'll have a fun costume!
