Overall, the costume was a huge hit at the parties I attended. But, I spent a long time modifying it so it wouldn't fall apart on me. The costume is very thin and uses velcro to hold each piece together. Normal moving around caused the velcro to come unfastened. So, I went to the hardware store and bought snaps (like the ones used to button a pair of pants). Not only did these hold the costume together well, but they were shinny and looked great.
Another modification I made was to cut slits into the face mask. This made it breathable. And it actually looked better this way.
Lastly, the front of the costume is pretty exposed. So, you'll want to wear some shorts over the thing undergarment. The undergarment was pretty cheap anyway so I ended up wearing another body suit instead.
My rating is mixed. I give it 5 stars for the end result and 1 star for the mechanics which averages out to a 3. I would recommend it if you don't mind doing a couple of hours...Costume Review

This costume is NOT 100% METAL as the description states - it is 100% PVC (cheap THIN plastic!!!). I feel totally ripped off b/c I did not get what I paid for! Unfortunately, I have no recourse b/c I had no choice but to use the costume for our homecoming parade since we were out of time to find a better one - now I cannot return it. Before you read note that I am a fair person. Even if things disappoint I try hard to find the good things in something.. with that in mind....
Bought this product for an upcoming convention and for this years Halloween. Can't express how excited I was when the box came. I had previously purchased the collector edition helmet and was 100% satisfied with that. So I assumed that this costume at this price point would be equally satisfying.
When I opened the box I expected to have another master replica helmet but the helm was baaaaaaaad. Visor was not near dark enough.. you could see my face in it when I wore it. It also looked small and like someone attacked it with a silver paint brush. The main dent on the helm was the worst part... there was a dent but there was a silver x painted across it as a poor attempt at detailing.
But I figured I had a good helm, oh well lets continue on and see if something can be salvaged..
The next...Good, but could be better
I bought this for Halloween 2008. $600 is a little pricey, but it's the best deal that I found.
The costume overall looks good.
I expected a better fit. This costume is not made for comfort. For the price, you would think Lucasfilms would make a better functional product. This costumes needs more straps, velcro, and padding to make it feel more secure. The helmet was the most disappointing feature of these costume; there's no straps, the padding sucks, and it's a solid one piece plastic mold. The details on the helmet are lame.
I bought the standard size, and I am 6'1". The standard size is slightly oversized for me. I can't imagine what the XL size looks like.
Lastly, the black undersuit that comes with the costume is poor quality and doesn't work well with the armor; it's a generic black suit that you can buy with any $20 Halloween costume. This costume is good if you need basic Stromtrooper armor, but will need a lot of modifications before it comfortable and...Not worth the $600+
I concur with the other reviews, this costume is way overpriced for what you get. I spent no less than 20 hrs sewing in more velcro, making a new girth belt (costume one is rubber and cheap looking), ordering a new ammo belt (costume one also rubber, no actual pockets), making a new cape, adding window tint to the visor on the helmet (because as stated, you can clearly see your face through it). The cod piece around your waist is terribly lose and feels like it will fall to your ankles as you walk around....very comical....I had to reinforce it as well. Also, after 20 hrs of modding my costume to make it 1) more realistic and 2) more functional, I went to the party and upon going to the bathroom realized I overlooked one small very important detail....there is no flap on the front....meaning if you need to use the bathroom, you must have someone unstrap you from the back and pull down the entire jump suit.....not functional at all...needless to say, I decided to cut a hole in the...> Click to See Editorial Reviews

The uniform was a little cheesy but ok. I wanted an XL but I received a Medium. I had it taken apart and augmented, and customized. It is now a great uniform. It is from such meager beginning, that art and creativity are born. But I did needed the front panel to do such a good job creating a great Klingon uniform. It will be on display at the Grand Slam event in Burbank on Feb. 15-17Qapla!
Like other reviews have stated the headpiece leaves much to be desired.
The hair is nothing like the picture (very thin and shorter, and the scalp does have bits of green on it like it its growing mold. I had to cut off that stupid pointed nose piece.
The suit seemed fine to me. (wish it had come with a Klingon dagger

Note that it's not the best quality material but it will get you through a couple of Halloween parties without fail. This costume is very limited and not worth the price. It comes with the pants, jacket, and a hat. No gloves, no wig, no goatee, no shirt, and no shoes or shoe covers.
Pants: The satin-sheen fabric is nice-looking and colorful, but it's so thin you can actually see through it. You would need to wear white pants under the costume pants.
Jacket: It's not really a jacket, but rather an extremely thin shirt. The lapels are totally limp and fall down so they must be pinned or sewn to points near the shoulders. My shirt came with a defective button that is obviously chipped. The buttons are glued on-- not sewn.
Hat: Very colorful and made of felt, it is about as limp as the lapels on the jacket. It would need to stuffed from the inside or starched to keep it upright as in the photo. The white felt stars on the hat are sewn on in a manner that really highlights the poor quality of this costume overall: The stitching looks like it was done by a blind Chinese...perfect for the price

I bought this costume as a base for another costume. I was most concerned with the sleeve length and the collar.
First of all, the white section of the collar is much smaller then the picture implies. Out of the box, the collar is probably around 1.5 inches and has a gap between the bottom of the white collar and the black collar of about .5-.75 inches. It's very noticeable as it doesn't rest flush against the shirt at all. I ended up going to a craft supply, buying some white fabric and making it bigger.
It's also very thin material, you -will- need to wear something on underneath. That being said, the Velcro used to hold the front closed isn't very 'sticky' and I ended up sewing more Velcro pieces to prevent it from tearing open.
The shirt is also VERY long. Since the supplier carriers a very small selection of sizes, I had to go with a shirt 2x my size, even so the shirt shouldn't have reached past my knees! mid-thigh I could see, but I could of...> Click to See Editorial Reviews

I ordered this for a halloween costume for my son. THIS ROBE RUNS VERY SMALL! If you wear under a large it would work fine.... over a large it will not close... the quality is what you would expect (novelty costume quality). I think it is priced a bit high for the quality...but, of you want to use it as a costume this will work fine. I would not recommend to use it for everyday wear.love it

Good product for the money. The sleeves are a bit short (I have long arms) but I was swimming in the rest of it, which was good because I bought it with ridiculous intentions. Better quality than I was expecting. The only thing to be warned about it it created an enormous amount of static cling. I bought this Julius Caesar costume to take on a cruise. It was the last week of October, so there was a Halloween party onboard. I liked this costume because it didn't take up much room in luggage and I could use the sandals I was bringing anyway. Quality of material & workmanship is quite nice for the price, although the laurel crown is very cheesy. It's not the "U-shaped" one shown in the illustration, but a headband that goes all the way around, consisting of giant gold mylar "leaves" all connected on the inside to an elastic band. I plan to replace this before using the costume again. I might have to make my own using one of my wife's hairbands to hold some more realistic-looking laurel leaves. Also, a few sequins fell off, but otherwise everything held together very well.
This costume requires frequent attention while wearing it because the red part that drapes over the white tunic tends to slip off the shoulder and you have to be careful not to drop the part...Huge and cheaply made
This arrived and would have fit someone with a 60 inch waist - not good for some with a 34 inch waistMakes for an easy halloween
If you order this don't expect it to be of the greatest quality but know that it'll do for a night. I found that the robe was a bit to big for me but whenI wrapped the belt around it held well. I recommend a safety pin to keep the belt in place and another one or two to keep the robe in the right place if need be.

From the description of this costume, I thought it would actually be a pair of coveralls with a fake plastic knife. What I received was a polyester kid-type costume that ties in the back with a foam knife - not plastic as stated in the description. I was not happy with this purchase at all.Perfect!!

Purchased this for the myself for a Hansel & Gretel costume theme for Halloween and Purim. I am considering it for Oktoberfest as well but it is definitely a budget costume. The fabric is very plastic-y and the straps are not adjustable. I am 6'5" so it was bordering uncomfortable given the amount of room between the crotch and shoulders. But for the price and a few hours at a party it is decent. The hat that comes with is very small and looks wrinkled when pulled out of the packaging. I used a bowler had I have from Goorin instead. Compared to local options this was a pretty good deal.liked it

It is a really good quality costume. The jacket is heavy and well cut with sturdy toggles. The pants with braces are also of very good quality. The helmet however is like a plastic kids toy but considering that a real fireman helmet is not available to the public and cost a fortune this is definitely adequate. Do not waste your money on this lump of crooked metal. The positive reviews fooled me. I would return this if I didn't have to pay for shipping both ways (almost $30) and the 15% restocking fee which they will no doubt try to charge me even though this thing is defective.

Face plate is riveted on crooked making the crest look like it was welded crooked, you can actually see where the assembler (aka small child working for $1 a day) had to drill a few holes to get it right which it still isn't. This can be fixed simple enough but for $70 with the cost of shipping I should not have to do anything to the helmet.
The face plate itself is also crooked. The nose is about 5 to 10 degrees off from the eyes. Maybe cool if you want to look like you got your head run over by a chariot-not the look I was going for.
It is large enough to fit my large head however it is way too wide. This would work well on a...It works!
I used this in a Halloween costume and it worked great, its a little bit big but it will fit most adult size heads.
Be aware that it comes with no internal padding so you will need to wear a hat of some sort to keep the metal from bruising up your head. Also the smell of metal really gets to you if you wear the helmet for to long so I let it air out for a while before using it.
It comes wrapped in a bag that is coated with oil so be careful when unwrapping it! I got a bunch of oil over my clothes without even realizing it but the oil is easy to clean up.
Overall it is a solid helmet and it helped me win a costume contest so it was worth it! :)JCC6
