Great Replica
While the transverse crest (side-to-side) may not be as familiar as the one that goes front-to-back, this is actually how Roman centurions' helmets appeared during the Late Republic and Early Empire. This is a great replica that looks great on a stand or shelf, although I'd be hesitant to actually wear it because the two screws that fasten the crest to the helmet protrude quite a ways into the actual helmet. You could file them down or add some padding if you were going to wear this for a production or reenactment.
This shipping was really fast and it was packed well.
really nice product
I am really pleased with this product, it is a good size (another helmet I bought elsewhere online is far too big), well made and looks great. I needed to get the seller to replace the plume as it had bent in posting but this was no hassle at all and they were fast and helpful. The metal crest piece fixes on with tiny screws so maybe file these or something if you plan on wearing it, shouldn't be a hassle.
Awesome helmet
This product I give 2 thumbs up. It is exactly what is shown on the photo and is definitely worth the price!!!! It looks just as good as the expensive $200 helmets i have seen on other websites. If your looking for a roman centurion helmet to wear for reinactments I prefer this one 100%. I am looking forward into ordering more from this business in the future!! Thanks RedSkyTrader!!! ITs Awesome!!
