I work on a cruise ship that carries some 6000 people, out of which some 1400 is crew. Most of us does anything between 4-8 months per contract and trust me, after some time, you really need to vent some steam. Thus, back deck parties.
For the record, whatever party you've been on, trust me, it can't hold a candle to crew parties.
Anyway, this one was organized by my dept and I decided to go as...(drumroll)...HELLBOY! Topic was SUPERHEROES AND SUPERVILLAINS so Hellboy fit perfectly.
I went with this costume as it looked quite good on the photo. Oh boy, was I disappointed. Well, not entirely, but...
OK, lets start with PROs:
+ Officially licensed product (hmmmm...)
+ Doesn't look half-bad, once you put it on
+ Headpiece is actually of very good quality, although it tends to get hot under it. Maybe if you actually have hair is different, but I'm bald and trust me, after 2 hours even in a/c area I was sweating...A lot of defects with the manufacture
The inside layer on the jacket was stitched the wrong way and I had to get it fixed in order to fit my arms. Also, stitches around the jacket were coming loose and the Red Punch looks very cheap.....and no Tail! I feel very disappointed. Since there's no other descent costume around, I'll just have to do my best with it.Read description carefully before buying.
Luckily for me I had no plans to use the hand that came with this costume. I bought it strictly for the coat. The coat is a vinyl jacket, thin, but with a little bit of airbrushing can look much better. The hand that comes with the cosutme is not really a hand. I just purchased this costume for my husband two weeks ago in preparation for Halloween, and must say it looks absolutely wonderful!
The costume comes with just about everything you see on the display image:
- plastic scissor-hands/gloves
- wig
- jacket
- pants/belt
- accessories
- even a make-up kit for that pasty/pale appearance!
One small hitch though is that it did >not< come with boots, but that is not a big deal as we had an old pair of black boots anyway. The adult size is a bit large for my husband (he's 5'7) - but again, is not too big a deal if you're willing to bend some seams and tie some of the corners down with bobby pins (they actually blend in with the costume nicely anyway). The quality is also very high, worth the 160$ price-tag, and seems very well put together. I ordered this hoping it would come in time for a costume party and it did not. On Amazon I was able to follow the process for returns, paid more than $6 to ship it back and they refused the return. They only offer returns if it's due to a wrong item shipped or defective item. Point for shopping in-store I guess, and big negative points for this company and their policies.
It's called a 'seasonal' item, even if you're buying a costume in February? People don't just get dressed up on Halloween and even so I should have been stopped in the returns process if I was just going to get this crappy costume (went to a shop and wore an amazing costume that wouldn't have even begun to fit in the flimsy box this came in, let alone the hat).

The pants were a bit big around and transparent so my fiance wore pants underneath and tucked the costume pants into them (since there was no drawstring or belt loops). Depending on your height they will most likely be a bit long because they fit him just right... I believe his pant size is 32 X 36 (could be off on the inseem, he is 6'2" in total). We bought shoe cover boot look a likes in addition to what was provided and thank goodness! The shoes in this package give you feux elephantitis! Beware if you wear an XL hat because my fiance's L fitting barely made the cut.

It was a HUGE hit. With the kids, with their parents, with my wife, etc. If I had only known how much mileage I could get out of a goofy costume!
The costume itself is well made. I doubt it will last for many wearings, but if you find yourself wearing a penguin costume that much, you have other issues.
The yellow feet, which are made from a foam-backed cloth and are worn over your shoes or socks, really make the costume. The eyes and the red bow tie are nice touches.
The wings have holes for your hands, if you need them for dexterity. I made pancakes while wearing the costume, without burning the costume or the pancakes.
I'm looking forward to the next chance I get to wear this thing. Halloween is too far away.SWEEET

Please read the product full description before ordering. I bought this with the idea of using it in a photo shoot. I was expecting from the image something a lot more substantial and darker. When I pulled it out of the package I realized immediately that it would not work for what I want; that my flashes would show right through the material and not silhouette the outfit like I want. As a costume for a party it would probably work great. I am in the process of returning the product at this time. I did receive the item quickly and on time.

The costume looks great, and fit my husband well. We got a large and he's 5'8 and 170 lbs. The coat touched the ground on him, but that was no big deal. Just make sure you don't wait until the last minute to get ready as you have to lace the whole thing yourself which takes a lot of time (it took the two of us about 45 minutes to do it all) especially since the laces are a loosely knit string. If we would have thought of it we could have taped them to help which would have saved some time.Mediocre Costume
Don't be fooled by the picture. On the picture the costume looks as if it was made out of thick heavy material, leather even. It is not. The costume is made out of paper-thin polyester. The gray strip on a side of the costume is made out of gauze-like net. All of it seems like it is about to rip if you pull it accidentally.
I don't know what they did to the picture, but, in reality, the whole thing hangs on you like a negligee nightgown meant for the kinky honeymoon night. I was aiming for the "nightmarish thug' but ended up looking like an "ambiguous Goth boy". 60 dollars for THAT?!!!!!!!

Despite reviewing the sizing chart, this costume doesn't fit. We ordered the standard. Torso length (from shoulder to crotch) is approx 29 inches. There's nothing we can do to get hubby to fit. We are returning it for the xl and hope we have better luck. Quality is comparable to the kids deluxe costume from Rubies....stretch polyester one-sie, opening and velco at the back. The "armor" is a molded rubber that is sewn on top of the polyester suit. If it fits, it will be great.Great

After one try on the left sleeve elastic gave way. I am giving it 3 because it has a great look so I am taking it appart and using it as a pattern to make another one out of different fabric.Looks nice
The outfit looks nice but it made out of cheap fabric. I would expect this costume to last after two or three wearing and washing. It shows wrinkles like crazy but a good steam will take care of that. Over all it looks nice and it the quality I expected for the prince. I would recommend it.Quality not up to standard

I would not recommend this if you are over 5' 7" and 180lbs and have a neck measurement of over 17". I had to safety pin the collar closed because the company used velcro instead of a top button. I also had to safety pin the bow tie in place along with the jacket lapels. Everyone loves the costume though. It was a hit for Halloween!So fun

I ordered this costume for cosplay at conventions (and also for a Halloween costume, later in the year). While this costume is not *perfect* it does look more or less like the picture here, and the finished product looks like Ezio's ebony costume. I have a couple of minor gripes - because the costume arrives in several pieces, it takes some effort to hold them together, so I'd suggest using safety pins. The hood in particular is very hard to keep straight, to give you the "Assassin" look - you need a mirror to get it straight, and it tends to tip crooked. I think I'm going to sew it on. Also the black shirt that goes underneath the belt and the silver shoulder/chest piece is only connected by a single piece of Velcro, so you need safety pins to hold it together. The helmet included with this costume is NOT the one pictured.
I purchased this knowing that this costume did not come with the deluxe helmet. The helmet is thin but durable plastic and actually quite decent. It is a clam shell design that comes together with velcro and the visor also attaches inside with velcro. I have a pretty big head (7.5") and it fit with some room to spare. The visor is difficult to see through clearly and the bottom of the plastic rubs against the bridge of my nose but that can easily be filed or trimmed away. You also have the option of removing the visor completely. There is also no chinstrap for the helmet. It looks pretty cool when I just carry the helmet on my arm, too.
The jumpsuit itself is good quality and not at all see-through. It has lots of real pockets which come in handy for car keys, wallet, candy, etc. I was very surprised at the quality of this costume considering all the flimsy stuff they sell nowadays. The suit zips...Big disappointment for a big Star Wars fan
Given the price of this costume, I assumed it came with a regular helmet-- not the collector's edition mind you, but the regular helmet sold elsewhere on Amazon.com. It turns out the "helmet" in this costume kit is two pieces of very thin plastic that you Velcro together to create the look of a full helmet. You then Velcro on a yellow visor. It looks very cheap.
From what I could see without opening the packaging, the orange jumpsuit looks like decent quality, but given the shoddy helmet, this costume is going right back to the seller.Great costume

This costume is EXACTLY as pictured! The fabric is a velour type material, which I ironed with a warm iron (on the inside) and it took out all of the shpping wrinkles. To put it's size into perspective: I am 5'6", 165lbs, wear a size 10-Long pants, Med/Large shirts, 34D bra... I ordered the medium and it was perfect! The sleeves were slightly long, which I prefer, and the dress was long enough to cover my shoes (ballet flats), and just stretchy enough that I could breathe AND it hugged all of my curves very nicely. All in all, this is a wonderful costume that I got MANY compliments on, including "You must have paid a fortune for this" and "Can I borrow this for my wedding?"... which is funny, because I wore it to a Masquerade wedding that was held on Halloween.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

I'd what it was suppose to do..give the impression Freddie Mercury is still among us. be cautious of jacket for it was draped over back of chair and with my arms rested, made 2 fine gouges in material. recommend!Really good material, looks just like original costume that was worn by Freddie during his iconic show at Wembley Stadium.
Pros:
- Fits good. It's a standard-sized costume, short for an average person, and it is supposed to be short, since Freddie normally wore very tight costumes. I'm thin, so it was not perfect tight fit, but it was good enough.
- The material used is very good and has good finishing.
- It really looks like the original costume that was worn by Freddie during his iconic show at Wembley Stadium.
Cons (reasons to remove 1 star):
- I wore it once and 2 little metallic eyelets fell off one jacket buckle. Although it didn't damaged the whole look, it should be better fixed.
- The plastic used in the jacket is really stiff.
It came in perfect condition and was shipped on time. I wore it once and people thanked me for wearing it, as I looked so awesome. Will recommend for all mankind, this costume = peace on Earth and end to war.better than expected
