I ordered this costume last minute and it arrived just in time for the party I was going to. It's labeled as a "Hercules" costume, but I said I was a "Roman Soldier" and it was a big hit (it doesn't include the wig, sword, or sandals, btw). I wore it a couple times that weekend. The only issue was that it was a plus-size costume (I'm not a small guy) but the arm bands were too big for my forearms while the leg straps were a bit too small for my calves, so I had to do a bit of custom tailoring before I left. It wasn't a big problem, everything worked out, and I looked great!Awesome costume. Pretty well made
I wore this with the shoes that I also reviewed for Halloween 2011. I didn't wear the arm bands as they are kinda cheap looking but the rest of the costume was great. I'm a 52" chest and this fit me great. It ties in the back so it will fit anyone within reason.pleased

This halloween costume was a complete, utter failure save for the cape.
1. The Mask. The most important part of the costume. Without it, the entire costume is worthless, and considering it is the cheapest but most essential part of the costume, you might have thought that the designers would pour utmost care into designing it. Firstly, the eye slits are positioned ALMOST DIRECTLY BESIDE THE NOSE. Unless there are aliens with this aforementioned facial feature, i doubt the mask could be worn by anyone. Secondly, the eye slits are EXTREMELY SMALL. I found this out when i just tried to place an eye into the slit without caring to wear the mask and discovered that i could not open my eyes fully. Finally, the mask is of very low quality, a cheap plastic that came to be slightly bent.
2. The Bow tie. Whaa? YOU CALL THAT A BOW TIE? Attached to a an elastic band? Which FELL OFF AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF DANCING? It was a slow dance too.
3. The Vest. Obviously,...Great Costume but Needs a Hat
This was a great costume; everyone liked it . . . but they all asked me where my hat was . . . To be authentic, the Phantom needs a Hat.Phantom of the Opera Costume

I enjoyed the costume and received it on time and in order. Please note the rest of this review is of the product only and does reflect on the seller.
The back of the costume is tied together. After wearing the costume a few times, the strings became hopelessly tangled and had to cut to get out of the costume. Velcro would have made more sense. I recommend anyone buying this costume attach some Velcro strips from a store like Walmart or hobby store and cut off the strings.Great costume for the price.
This is a very entertaining costume. It ties in the back which is annoying but this can be fix easily with a single safty pin. Buyer beware if you are over 6'3". He isn't a super tall guy - about 5'10 and it fit okay but if he was any taller it might have been a stretch. the outfit is made out of a light black fabric and the mask is a hard plastic. It is difficult to keep the hood up and over your face and the mask but again - $8!Very happy.

It fit as intended, but for the price, I would think that real clothes, a full shirt instead of a half, etc would be a normal expectation. If you have the time, better to just go to the thrift store and put something together for about $10. It will be real, and unique. The best part about this outfit was the hat, which wasn't very firm, but fairly decent quality. You can buy the hat separately...Not too bad...

The Muppet Shows's Swedish Chef is known for bushy eyebrows that obscure his eyes. Unfortunately, if you wear this costume then his bushy eyebrows will obscure your eyes too! The red hair on the eyebrows and mustache also comes off easily and will shed onto everything you come into contact with while wearing this. If you can find a red wig and fake nose + mustache, I recommend acquiring a chef hat, bowtie, dress shirt, apron, and pillow to stuff your tummy with elsewhere. You'll save money and frustration.
Pros: Looks very much like the Swedish Chef.
Cons: Poor craftsmanship, low value for its price. Can't see out of costume.
Note: The fake eyebrows, nose, and mustache are all connected to the hat. The nose may not actually cover your own nose, so you may have to wear the hat at an odd angle and/or tape/glue the inside of the nose onto your real nose so it stays in place. I also suggest stuffing the hat with something to keep it perky.ugh
Horrible horrible costume. Very poorly made. Hair all fell apart on contact- the hat was very flimsy. I got my money back.Had to re-glue most of the hair...
Overall it looks good, but the mustache came of when I put it on the first time (used a glue gun to fix it) and the "wig" loses its hair so I had to use spray-net to keep it from falling off. The eyebrows, nose and mustache come in one piece, and I had to stuff the nose and hat.

This is a great costume. Once I made my purchase I contacted the seller about the size (I think thats everyones main concern) but I was told the XXL size is the only one available. (I would also like to add that the seller was QUICK to respond. Thats always a PLUS) Once I recieved the Mr. Incredible costume it was very big on me. Im 6 foot 4 about 200 pounds 34 waist and in shape so I needed to take it in some. Lucky for me I have a family member that knows how to sew. With only a few alterations I was able to make the costume fit me perfectly. This is a great costume, but be ready to taylor it a little if you are not a 42 waist. This is a great looking costume. I like what I received, and it look MUCH LESS DORKY than most Christmas elf costumes - whatever that means. A few drawbacks though:
(1) the little bells tend to fall off in the wash... dry clean only?
(2) it does not come with the red/white socks - for what I paid for this, you should really include a friggin $2 pair of socks, I mean REALLY!
(3) the belt is crap - it's like a piece of gold dental floss. Again, for the price, they could have done better.
Again, I really liked this costume, but I gotta say, it's only half a costume. To make it look good, you really gotta get socks, elf shoes, and a real belt that is not just a tiny piece of sting. It took me several more hours of shopping, and about $30 additional to pull together these extras. This costume is very limited and not worth the price. It comes with the pants, jacket, and a hat. No gloves, no wig, no goatee, no shirt, and no shoes or shoe covers.
Pants: The satin-sheen fabric is nice-looking and colorful, but it's so thin you can actually see through it. You would need to wear white pants under the costume pants.
Jacket: It's not really a jacket, but rather an extremely thin shirt. The lapels are totally limp and fall down so they must be pinned or sewn to points near the shoulders. My shirt came with a defective button that is obviously chipped. The buttons are glued on-- not sewn.
Hat: Very colorful and made of felt, it is about as limp as the lapels on the jacket. It would need to stuffed from the inside or starched to keep it upright as in the photo. This shirt was to be used for my high school son to be the Dread Pirate Roberts along with his date, Buttercup, for a high school dance. It was perfect!! In one evening of shopping on Amazon.com my husband and I purchased his entire outfit (he already had the boots) for less than $100. Since then I have washed the shirt and it washed very nicely. Of course, I never put our costume items in the drier; I cold wash and hang dry. We were very pleased with this purchase.feg
This shirt has a VERY STRANGE CUT to it. IT IS VERY NARROW AT THE WAIST. I bought this shirt for my husband, who is tall and thin. I got this costume for Halloween hoping to just use the body suit part. Upon first use it worked out pretty well, not as good of quality as something like the Greenman suit I have, but this was cheaper than most lycra body suits and I didn't need the face/hands/feet closed. It fit pretty well overall, a little tight around the thighs and a little loose around the waist (I'm pretty average body type). I was able to bend and stretch without feeling too restricted movement wise. Halloween night went pretty well and it was quite warm for being full body covering which was good since it was a chilly night. I used the costume again a few months later for another party and upon putting it on the second time I heard a slight tearing sound from the crotch area, I slowly took it off and sure enough the seam in that area had been torn. This product comes just as described. It fit well and it came in the proper packaging. This costume is a big hit and everyone recognizes the character. It is better when paired with one of your friends being Luigi! The only downfall of this costume is that it is popular and if you are going to the bar or a Halloween party, someone else will most likely have the same costume on.Don't expect to use the belly
This costume comes with an inflatable belly, and for those of us who don't have a beer gut, it would be very useful when wearing the costume. The problem is that the belly is made out of such cheap plastic that it comes with holes in it, and if you try to repair them you will just get other holes that take their place.

I was slightly disappointed with this costume. The pants did not really represent what was work in the movie (nor did it match what was on the description) and the wig was absolutely worthless. I wound up going with my own hair after styling it with some gel. As for comfort, the costume was great. Overall I rate it as a three. On a side note, I would only wear it around people who have seen the movie.
