The quality of the costume is excellent.I actually thought it would be a much thinner material, but it was not and I feel that it will hold up over time for sure. The only reason I did not 5 Star this product is because the gloves are not as high quality as I imagined they would be, and do not fit that well even though I got the small.I would recommend going to your local sports store and picking up your own pair. All in all it is a great Ryu costume and unless your friends are not familiar with the game at all you will get noticed plenty.
Awful quality
I would not recommend this costume to anyone. The quality is very poor; pants had no elasticity around the hips or even a waist-band at all for that matter - it was as if they just cut the material right off at the ends. The headband and belt weren't bad, but the gloves were terrible - felt like they would fall apart immediately; wasn't sew together even remotely well. The shape of the fit was nothing like the picture - and just to qualify this review, I look pretty similar to the picture. Needless to say, I was unsatisfied with the product and returned it immediately. I will say this is the first halloween costume I've ever purchased so if this level of quality is normal, I apologize for having unrealistic expectations.
ryu costume
fit is pretty large on this. i got the teenage size and even that was wide. definitely had to wrap around the shirt to make it look ok. material is thin, but pretty standard as far as costumes go. only thing really odd is that the fighting gloves are beige but ryu's are usually red? otherwise, not bad. shipping from the vendor was also quick
