I liked the look of this product and the feel was nice as well. The craftsmanship was good compared to most costumes you find at the stores. The only issue I had with this product was the sizing. "one size fits most adults" is not a proper sizing tool and did not work in my case. I am of average height. I am slim muscular build and the top part of the costume didn't come down to my waist. It should have not only come to my waist but provided some overlap with the pants.
All in all the costume will be okay if you are shorter, then the pants may be a little long, or if you find a shirt that is a close match to the costume so you can blend the mid section.

Bought this for my 18 yr old son who had to be a lion for spirit week, but didn't want to look "dumb" or "cheesy" or feel miserable. He was very happy with Macho Lion. Comfortable and looks as cool as you can in a lion suit! lol. He is 6 ft tall, muscular and lean. It fit great.Great lion costume

The mad scientist costume is truly maddening! I am using it for the Monster Mash song in a variety show. Instead of the hyper needle, I am using a bubble gun that jolts the monsters wtih bubbles instead of electrodes. Should be very funny!!!!This set was awesome!
Loved the jacket and the wig that came with it. Very cool look and pretty good quality material. I was afraid of it being too hot, but was able to wear it all night and not get uncomfortable. Fun costume!Functional
Overall the costume is as advertised. I purchased the XL version.
The headpiece is a flexible plastic/rubber with fake hair in two pieces on each side. It uses elastic to hold it in place. A little tight but I have a large head.
The gloves are are a poly stretch material and rather cheap looking (did not use them as they were ill fitting.)
The smock is just that. A pull over smock with printed decals. It fit fine and was fairly true to size (I have 46 inch shoulders and it was just big enough to allow movement).
It sufficed for my purposes and time constraints, but you could easily assemble a better version of this by picking up individual items (wig, gloves smock/lab coat) and building it yourself.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

I have not been to a costume party/dinner for many years so when the opportunity arose this past Halloween, I said to myself "Why not?". I looked around for ideas and even went to a large local costume store plus a lot of on-line shopping. Everything I looked at seemed flimsy, especially the ones I tried on at the local shop. I settled on this one because it advertised as being a true X-large size (I'm a 48 chest) and the ones at the local shop were all too tight. I am really glad I made this selection. When it arrived and I opened the heavy box, I was pleasantly surprised. For just over $30, the costume was made of substantial material with detailed and realistic trimmings including the built-in velvet mantel.....I did add (at some additional cost)a hood and a half-face mask from another source to complete the look I wanted. (total outlay around $50) I wore black sandals from my existing shoes to finish things off. This costume is warm worn over even light clothing. Might be too...nicely designed
Very nice costume and nice heavy material as well so you are definitely getting your moneys worth for it. Very authentic, I went to a party with it and the party was in a non heated garage and everyone was cold but I was not cold at all it was very comfortable and also works great for hiding beers in your long sleeves. I got this costume on sale at a local Spencer's Gifts years ago. The robe fabric is surprisingly heavy (not paper-thin and flimsy that exposes you in the wrong places), and the top part is an equally heavy velvet. The elbows have an elasticity around them which enables the lower, draping arm sleeve to hang right. I had to buy this costume from BrandsOnSale because it was the only place online having it in stock. The price was $120, while all stores online sold it for ~$50.
The costume doesn't really look like in the picture, and the vinyl of the gauntlets and helmet smells like hell.Kinda akward, but Spartan approved
First of all I have to say i'm a fan of the movie and man, it was awesome. Now upon looking at the picture of this costume, I was dissapointed on how it was made. It totally looks toga like or romanish, but nevertheless I wanted it. I believe this one is the deluxe version. I wanted this one cause it had the shin guards unlike the regular costume. Now when I got it the armor including the helmet was all mad from vinyl. They have that spandex thing on them, so any person would have no problem putting them on. The helmet also has it to, to make the helmet look tight on your head. It's comfortable and it doesn't bother your neck. Also about the helmet it's kinda floppy just any ordinary halloween mask, but as you put it on it takes shape. Now the main part of the costume, it's really much silk like but soft too. I recommmend you put it on carefully cause it's kinda thin you know. I have not torn mine, but i just wanna let you know. When it's on there's a part in the back where you have...Cheap, uncomfortable, smelly
Everything is made of rubber. Does not look good, is not comfortable and smells like rubber bands.

I loved this for the most part. The mask works how it is supposed to. There is a catch. Half of the upper lip was not attached to the plastic piece that raises the upper lip to give the mouth moving effect. I was expecting this, based on other reviews, so I just bought some rubber cement to fix the issue. I wrapped blue masking tape around the mask over the glued lip to hold the lip down until dry and now it works fine. The costume was nice except the white hands have squared off finger tips. I didn't care for that. Looked kind of cheesy. This set has its flaws but good costume overall.don't bother
In the process of getting the foam inserts in the mask it broke (ones that allow it to fit to your face). The parts that allow the face to move are cheap plastic and after opening and closing the mouth a few time they will all break. its a shame, this is a very cool idea and has some good potential, but they cheaped out on a few of vital parts that make this mask unique.> Click to See Editorial Reviews

My youngest son needed an inexpensive Santa jacket for a short Christmas play, and this product fit the bill. My older son also wore it to film a video for our Church Christmas program. The jacket held up for both activities, but we had to throw it away after that. However, that was about what I expected for the price. The jacket and hat are not plush like traditional Santa suits. Rather, they are constructed of a felt-like material that will pill and come apart with time and use. Again, this is an inexpensive piece, so it met my expectations. The belt is a thin synthetic material with a plastic buckle. We pinned it in place, and it served its purpose nicely. If you're looking for an authentic-looking, durable costume, I suggest you look elsewhere. I bought this for Halloween costume is ok for Halloween or a costume party, but if you're looking for it to be a little closer to the actual uniforms then it's not very realistic. The shade of blue depicted in the picture looks a little closer to the shade actually used one the real uniforms, the shade of blue on the actual costume looks more like I should put on a red cape and an S shield on the chest and go as Superman the doorman. It's more of a web color royal blue or an azure blue rather than the dark blue that was actually the regulated color. And that's not the only color problem. The cuffs and colar are a brownish color when they should be blue as well.
The buttons are gold colored with an eagle and shield motif on them. That's nice for the appearance of the costume. But their floppy, I was afraid I'd pop a button when I tried this on. Yeah this is a costume that you may wear just once (maybe twice), or even just once a year. But you really don't want to have one of...It worked

I'm always looking for a costume that is different to wear to an annual birthday/Halloween party. In the past I've gone as an INS agent, pinata and such. They dress as characters on Spanish TV as well as your regular costumes. They LOVED this costume.

I wore this costume to a bar for Halloween. It was a bit hit! I had people coming up to me asking to take their picture with me. I carried a sign I made from a piece of cardboard and a fly swatter which said "Feed Me". I sewed on plastic flies that I bought from the Halloween and More shop and wore a name tag that said "My name is Venus". Very well made and completely anonymous. I wore a green hoodie underneath and black gloves and pants. A fun costume!!!wow!!!

My pajamas arrived on time, but the "XL" size is several inches too short for my 6' 2" height. However, I could gain several hundred pounds and still fit in them! Also, some of the seams are stitched poorly and will require repair before I can wear them. Otherwise, they look like the pictures and my daughter loves them. That's what really counts.I loved it! Worded great as a surprise present!

This is a super outfit for the classroom. We bought it for my daughter who is a paraprofesssional in a elementary special ed classroom. As an adult she is able to wear it not only as her Halloween costume but also for her lessons about penguins while her students learn. She added black leggings but because it comes complete with feet she looks very much like a penguin yet has the freedom of movement to chase/corral her students."adult" means XL Adult!
The costume came with a spot of discoloration. The shoe covers are flimsy and the elastic has already broke on them. I'm not satisfied with the sizing. First off, the costume is well put together and looks very authentic. Pair with a sonic screwdriver, black canvas pants, black boots and a fez and you will absolutely look the part. However, the sizing is pretty misleading.
I bought the standard size, figuring that with the product also coming in X-Large and Plus Size (2X) that the standard would be a medium. I was not expecting a perfect fit by any means, but this is big. It should really be labeled Large. Amazon do not provide the measurements, though the Halloween Costumes website does:

When I saw that there were two size options - Standard and X-Large - I figured that Standard should fit well (assuming Standard is Medium).
However when I tried the costume on, the so called Standard turned out to be your regular X-Large.
I usually wear medium sized shirts and this felt like a dress, it was so big.
Despite this size debacle, it looks just like you'd expect. The fabric isn't great but it's good enough for the couple of occasion on which it will be worn.Came right on time
The extra large fits my son who is in a large shirt the jacket is just a tinny bit big but nothing that he noticed. You need to hang it up because it comes folded and has a lot of wrinkles. The costume seems to be of decent quality, but the description is misleading. It does NOT include the boot covers as pictured, and the base color is black, not brown as stated. The hood is very tight-fitting around the face and cannot be pulled back; either you wear it with the hood up, or you take the whole thing off. I still would have given it four stars, but prime shipping failed me: I ordered on a Tuesday, delivery was "guaranteed" by Thursday... and the costume did not arrive until Monday afternoon, about eight hours AFTER I needed it. The guy in the picture must be pretty tall. My husband is 5'8" and you can't see the pants because the jacket is so long. It is still nice I guess. Looks like santa is wearing a robe though instead of a jacket. The detailing is nice and it seems to be really well made. I just hope we can add some fluff and make the jacket shorter....Great
