If you are hesitant to buy this beacuse of that weird looking grey thing in the photo, then don't worry. You can take it off with minimal effort. I tossed it and kept the kilt.
Cheaply made -
It's hard to buy from a picture. The product is flimsy; material was very thin, could almost see thru; waist band was thin. There were no pleats in the kilt. However, you get money's worth. This would do for occasional uses, like Halloween or St Patrick's day.
