Five-star quality product, but docking a star for the inflated price. I'm very surprised at how high-quality this is. It's not an Inverness cape, per se, since it has sleeves, but it is still very handy for kiltwearers at Scottish games events. Something like this from a kiltmaker would be hundreds of dollars. While it has no lining, and is not winterwear, it's a nice layer for cool, drizzly weather. Vastly superior to typical media-franchise costume stuff.
Great for Halloween
I bought this as part of a Sherlock Holmes outfit and it worked splendidly. The cape and collar are a little difficult to get used to and position well, but other than that it definitely exceeded my expectations.
Barnabus Collins Inverness Coat
I've been a fan(atic) of the television 'soap-opera' "Dark Shadows" for a looong time, so when I discovered this Officially Licensed Dark Shadows Barnabus Collins Inverness Jacket being sold on Amazon I had to buy it!!! I have never seen a replica Barnabus Collins Inverness Coat/Jacket being sold before and the price of this jacket was very reasonable and included free shipping as well. I received the package within a few days of placing the order and I was pleased when I opened it and saw my new Barnabus Collins Coat!
While this product is intended to be used as part of a costume, the quality is far greater than any costume I've purchased in the past.
The coat is made of wool; not some cheap low grade fabric costumes are usually made of!
It is very well-made; nicely sewn & tailored (the only drawback is that it is only available in one size).
I've always wanted a coat just like Barnabus had on "Dark Shadows" and now I've finally gotten one I can be proud to wear!
