This was a good looking costume - very much like the movie. For the $ the material was thin and the pants were only knee-high and kept coming out of the boot covers. I switched to a pair of brown pants that was a pretty good color match and that worked great. Added the official goatee and moustache and cutlass from a local store and the hat with dreads I got in Disney World and people could hardly recognize me. Oh yeah, the material for the belt buckles on the belts and sashes were really chincy plastic and one wasn't even colored silver - it was tourquoise. For the money, that should have been better too. The thin material wouldn't hold the weight of the plastic cutlass.
Not a toy
Great costume. My husband looked like the real Jack Sparrow. But don't bother getting the glue on beard - doesn't work well.

Long story short, you're better off making a custom costume. It'll look better and it'll probably cost less (unless you go full out, of course).
The two belts are attached to the vest and are only half-belts. You cannot see them from the back (you have to wear the coat at all times). The hat is terrible and the coat feels like you're wearing a cheap blanket. The pants...aren't pants.
The shirt/vest aren't bad, but you'll want to remove the fake felt belts and pick up a set of leather ones.
