Two Person Horse (Standard) - 3.3 out of 5 stars from 3 customer reviewsNice horsey suit
This is what it looks like -- a cheap but passable horse suit. I bought it so my sister and I could make a very sophisticated YouTube video. It did the trick.
This comes in roughly seven parts -- two sets of giant pants with elastic waistbands, the horse head/body, and four hoof booties. I suppose you could call this one size fits all. We're both small so we had to roll the pants over at the waist several times, but it worked out okay.
The material is some sort of synthetic silky-feeling stuff. This obviously isn't lifelike and doesn't have anything approximating a horse's coat or mane, but again, it's not a thousand dollars like the other two-person animal suits out there, so what do you expect?
All in all, I was pleased with the horsey suit, especially for the price.
Decent Costume for the Price
This was the least expensive two person horse costume we could find, and we really needed one. It served the purpose and looked funny on stage, but the head never sat correctly on the actor, regardless of who was wearing it - it slumps over and does not look very horse-like. It is fine for a cheap laugh, but not at all realistic. It is also difficult to see out of the horse mask, and the actor in the back has to bend very low or it creates an odd hump.
If you can't afford the hundreds of dollars the better costumes cost, this will do in a pinch.
I really like it but...
It's hard to see thru the mask. It's possible but not real comfortable if you are the horses behind!! You have to bend over in the back and hang on for dear life. You might want to tell the front of the horse not to run real fast.
