This is an over-the-head jacket that is made out of the same material the costumes for kids are. My teen daughter is tall and thin with long arms so we got the L so it would be long enough, then I just tucked and folded two 'darts' under the arms and used the iron-on adhesive. It was still a little loose, but looked good, is lightweight, and comfortable. Gold glitter come off a little, but that is expected.
