I bought this for my son who had to wear anything green for a school choir performance. This item being so bright was perfect. He is 13, about 5'4,108lbs. This was huge on him and I anticipated that I would have to have it altered. My seamstress asked me if I bought it used since it had spots on it, which upset me since I paid $35.59 for a "new" item and I didn't have enough time to have it cleaned. I would have washed it, but wasn't sure if it would affect the great, bright color. It also upsets me that recently the price was lowered to $28.15. The items themselves (jacket and pants), however were perfect once altered and my son looked great in it. I'm not sure if the teacher put him front and center because of the outfit or his dancing, but I'm sure it didn't hurt.
Fun one with a few objections
The size is weird. Had to open the seam to remove the elastic, which would make the pants a size 32! After that it fit at 35. No elastic needed.
It came incredible wrinkled. I was able to iron it using warm setting.
The jacket would not fit a size 35/36. Maybe a 34, no big stomach. Removing the buttons was a big task, being very careful to widen it about an inch and it did the job.
Size 34 or less, buy it no doubt! Unless you are good stitching, don't bother if you are bigger than 34.
Good costume
Worked good for me and I am 5"10, 150lbs. It works great for St.Patty's day for me and everyone loved it.
