This hat works for what you need, but it is a bit disappointing when you get it. It is quite heavy, and if shaken just a little bit, it pops out very easily. Plus it is one size fits all, and does not fit one of my actor's heads. But it works for now.
Horrible product
I ordered this as a gift and it was extremely disappointing. Size was quite big, heavy and it hurt my head when I put it on. Husband said it was a piece of junk. I sent it back immediately.
Good for a magic show, but not for wearing
I bought this hat for Masonic function wear. The inner construction is poor, as I took the item to a Boston Haberdasher to get the brim shaped, they even sent it out to New York City to see if a hatmaker down there could put soime shape into the brim (classic 'pencil roll'), but was told the cardboard inside of the brim could not be worked at all. The brim is still totally flat, no matter what I do. Hat has a boxy shape as well, rather than a classic concave look. Ended up being installed without a top hat. Since then I have purchased a wool felt tophat from another Amazon vendor that I wear for functions (My Masonic juristiction requires a silk top hat, so please don't tell anyone)
