I've used a lot of hair dye.
First of, let me say that I'm not usually so critical of products. And I'll go one step farther to say, in its defense, that it is doesn't claim to be a permanent, lock-in dye that remains faithfully in your hair. I expected that and was open to a rinse-out dye.
What I was NOT prepared for was a dye with very minimal instructions; I had to find directions on the website. I wasn't prepared for it to stick to my skin and hair with similar consistency, which found me painting on the hair color as if inking a 20's BettyBoop comic strip. This got really dodgy around the hair line.
It also clumps your hair into a giant dreadlock as if you were a little duck in the BP Oil Spill disaster.
Application? The packaging recommends a sponge or a toothbrush for application, and elaborates no further. What it doesn't tell you is what a colossal, godforsaken mess it makes, even for the most cautious and tidy of veteran hair-dyers. When...
