Every Halloween, I like to try to look as authentic as possible with my costumes. When i decided to go for the Chaplin look this year, I found it very difficult to find a tail coat that looked like it was from the 20's. When I saw this costume, I figured I'd try it out, since the coat looked similar to the real thing. I've had my share of disappointing costumes purchases in the past, and was preparing to get another cheaply made pile of fabric that i couldn't use, but this costume really surprised me with its accuracy!! It's is still made of cheap fabric, but when put together, it really looks like Chaplin's suit!! I am 5'10" 32" waist. The medium fits me exactly like it should to look like Chaplin. For nit-pickers like myself: The pink flower is merely pinned to the coat and can be easily removed, and the shirt and vest is just a front that is attached to the pants. But with the jacket on, it looks like a real shirt and vest. Hope this helps!!

This looks great when you put it all together. It is very cheaply made and the jacket is enormous - we had to pin the whole back because Charlie's jacket is supposed to be tight and the pants baggy. Please note that no hat, mustache or cane come with the costume! You need to order them separately. To do Charlie right though, you need to draw on the mustache! Just an fyi - my son is about 5'10"and a size 32 waist 32 inseam and we ordered a large. Had to take the jacket in and the pants and attached vest were roomy, but the length was ok.
