I bought this Crypt Crawler costume based on the one other review, and I am glad I did. I am about 200lbs @ 5'10" and it is very comfortable in a large. The mask is pretty cool, the mouth opens with your chin, and the upper lip snarls upwards as well. The mask is kind of a latex foam material which seems very durable, and it can be painted and modified easily, and it sits on an inner shell that's a hard plastic. The head band is a little week, just a simple ribbon of Velcro. I will be changing that for comfort and a better fit. It looks like the other reviewer use a snorkeling mask strap. The rubber/latex gloves are a little tight for me but they are still usable.
The rest of the costume consists of a robe and hood. The robe is all black and uses a old looking bandage material for a belt. Extremely comfortable and multi-functional. I really love this costume and with a few modifications such as glow in the dark paint for the teeth, eyebrows and fingers and led lights for the eyes, this costume really pops. Highly Recommend.
Good costume, but some issues....
I purchased this costume for Halloween. I didn't really have any intentions of using the whole costume and mainly wanted the mask and hands. The hands that match the mask, which is called the Night Fiend mask when purchased separately as just a mask, only come with the Crypt Crawler costume, you can't buy them as a separate piece like you can the mask. I planned on using the mask for my "mutant" costume, so I wanted matching hands. So, I bought the entire costume.
The costume itself seems pretty good. The material is nice and it isn't constructed out of flimsy fabrics. It will hold up nicely to multiple wears provided you don't really abuse it. The hands are great. They have extra long figures with wicked black claws to give them the right ghoulish look. I'm a thin guy so the gloves are a bit big, but for your average adult male they should fit fine.
