I write this from my hospital bed as I lay here slowly recovering from night of the Taco. This is an excellent costume but at one point I wished it had more padding. Much more.
Big party, halloween, needed to impress the chicks, saw this baby on Amazon and I just knew. I knew my phone would be blowing up from the hotties after a night sporting this bad boy. I topped it off with the sombrero and strapped it down good using the draw string. Oh yeah, the ladies were going to be butter. Wait till they see me break dance in full on Taco suit. It is almost unfair for the other guys at the party. Too bad, so sad.
Jimmy Ray picked me up in his pick up. With the suit I could not fit in the cab. Had to ride in the back with his dog Cujo. At first Cujo just eyeballed me, sizing me up. The next events happened pretty quickly. It is all kind of a blur. Not sure at what point that Cujo decided that I was prey and eating me was an excellent choice. Not sure.
What I am...Needs help
A bit disappointing. As a taco aficionada for the past 60 years, I can say this costume lacks spice. It needs more "ingredients", flashier fabrics and less foam. And toss the pairing with a sombrero. Add a "cilantro" hat, or a "cheese topper".Taco Costume
I just got the taco costume today, I was really excited when I got it. The costume was not what I expected, but it works and it is still really cool. So I really liked this costume. In fact, I think it's worthy of more than one year. However, the drawback is that this thing was pretty tight on me. I had to cut the tunic to get my head in. When I wore this, I was about 5'11" 265 and wore a 38-40" pant depending on brand. I actually put a thin sweater on underneath it because it was pretty chilly on Halloween this year. With an undershirt and the sweater, I definitely felt like a sausage about to pop on the grill. The shirt is most emphatically NOT made of linen. It is, in fact, made of synthetic material that closely resembles cheesecloth. It's absurdly light, which is a plus under hot stage lights or out on a beach - but also see-through. I wore a tank top under it and it worked out perfectly. Watch the fabric, because it snags very easily. But the laces and ruffles look great.Average shirt
The price of this shirt is cheap and so is the quality.
The sewing is a bit rough with threads still hanging out from the ends of stitchings, especially at the sleeve ends, which I had to trim off.
At a distance it looks okay but close up the poor quality of the finished product is really noticeable.
As a prop for stage work where the audience are not close up, it would suffice.
The collar and frills or gatherings at the front are single layer and sewn with an over-locker and has an unfinished look about it.
It would not have been too bad if some edgings were sewn over these edges but I suppose the price would be higher.
The material looks cheap and the garment looks as though it was hurriedly sewn.
The photo itself actually looks better than the shirt.Cheesy but it does the job
Went to a Prince Tribute and this trusty purple ruffley number actually garnered a compliment. I paid homage to the Purple One. Should you need to emulate Prince or if you like being a psychedelic pirate (and who doesn't?) this somewhat shoddily- put together yet functional number will meet your needs at a reasonable price. This is the most cheaply made, worthless costume I have ever purchased. For $50?! The tie was glued on, GLUED ON, and fell off while I was putting the tie on. Not too mention it wasn't even as pictured. Instead of having a knot, the tie was chopped off at the time, looking more like an upside down sword missing the handle. I'm 5"11 160 lbs and I couldn't even velcro the collar around my neck because it was too small. One size fits all is a joke, and so is this costume. This item did the job when it was too late to change it, the picture was wrong so the item was not what I ordered. There are two costumes like this on the market, one comes with a wig and faux feet (the one I wanted) and the other looks like this one. The one I wanted had it's picture shown, so in turn I didn't get what I ordered.Just what I expected.
Wore this for Halloween and it was just the Fred flintstone look I had in mind. Did not need anything else to complete the look.ok costume

This is a GREAT Costume. Bought it for my husband to wear to a 70's Disco-Themed Birthday Party. Everyone thought it was great!
Unlike the color shown in the photo, the shirt is bright gold, not a muted brownish gold. It's also quite comfortable and the necklace complements the outfit perfectly.
We actually ordered one size up--just in case the shirt was smaller than expected. The XL (size 40-42" waist) pants fit a size 36" waist comfortably and the XL (46-48" chest) shirt fit a 42" chest perfectly.
Overall--this is a fun, quirky costume to transport anyone back in time to the Disco Era.Umm, it's okay.

CONS
The pants are stretchy and seem a little cheap; they feel more like pajamas... :-
They are still abnormally long even though the pants are worn a little higher than normal. Hopefully it will pan out with platform shoes.Perfect, Fun, Affordable
